Former Homeless Author Versandra Kennebrew Portrayed in Unheard Voices

The stories behind people experiencing homelessness are as varied and surprising as the population. Our goal is to present the voices, lives, visions, hopes, dreams, pains and spirits of the local homeless community on stage for the audience to recognize and acknowledge through financial support.  

Unheard Voices will be presented in the Fountain Lounge on the University of Detroit Mercy’s Mc Nichols Campus.

All proceeds and donations raised will go to the Homeless Action Network of Detroit (H.A.N.D.), whose help has made this program possible.
 
The performance on Friday, February 26, 2010 will be a Gala Premiere, Paid Ticket Only event.  Tickets can be purchased by calling 313-993-1540 or email udmgrad@udmercy.edu. Tickets are $50, $75 and $100 with a portion being tax-deductible.  The Gala Premiere will feature a strolling dinner from 6:00-8:00 p.m., the performance at 8:00 p.m. and a coffee and desserts afterglow to follow.

Saturday's (February 27 @ 8:00 p.m.) and Sunday's (February 28 @ 2:00 p.m.) performances will be Pay-What-You-Can general admission seating.  A donation of $16 per person is recommended.  Realizing that not everyone can afford a monetary donation, we will also be accepting clothes on a hanger as donation for admission. Doors will open one hour before curtain.
