Silver Bay, N.Y., February 11, 2010: The Hacker Boat Company, Inc., makers of world famous Hacker-Craft motor boats, will have two of their hand made mahogany boats at the Miami International Boat Show, February 11 through 15, at the Miami Beach Convention Center, at booth #3398.
On display will be a 22 foot RACER and a 30 foot SPORT boat. The boats are prime examples of the design legacy of famed American naval architect and company founder John L. Hacker.
“The Miami Boat Show is a premier event for anyone interested in boating, and we are delighted to have two of our boats in the show,” said company President and CEO Robert Lynn Wagemann. “We are excited to see the reaction from convention attendees-many of who may be seeing these magnificent boats, an incredible blend of beauty and function, for the first time.”
The Hacker Boat Company, founded in 1908, is the largest American manufacturer of classic mahogany motorboats. The company’s corporate headquarter and storage facilities are located near and on the shoreline of Lake George, NY. Production and restoration facilities are located in historic Ticonderoga, NY.
Each Hacker-Craft is hand crafted at the company’s new Ticonderoga, NY production facility by master boat building craftsmen who spend over 1500 hours of labor to build every boat. The Hacker Boat Company builds runabouts, sport boats, launches and utilities from 24 to 35 feet. The company also makes custom designed boats; their custom division’s motto is, “if you can dream it, we can build it.”
Since the 1930s Hacker-Crafts have been hailed as the “Steinway of Runabouts®” and “Forbes Magazine FYI” honored the boats as being "50 of America's Best" products.
