Google Buzz vs Twitter & Facebook
When Marc noticed Google Buzz has gone live he said, "I did hear Google a while back saying they would like to challenge the bigger boys out there, (Twitter & Facebook) but I thought, there is no way on earth they could out do how well Twitter did last year, and how Facebook is one of the most visited sites on the internet. But I really like how they have incorporated it into my Google Mail account, GENIUS!! They know most people who have a gmail account will visit their in-box nearly everyday, its going to be like, right going to check my emails today, oh and might as well have a quick look at Google Buzz!!"
So does Marc think this concept of social media is going to work, Marc says, "Now I could be wrong about this, but my first impressions are, that they could be title contenders. Started playing with Google Buzz this morning, and at the moment it looks like they are sticking to the basics when it comes to social media and its a bit shabby round the edges, but I like where Google Buzz could lead."
He also lead on to say,"I must confess, I am a Twitter-holic, I have a great app on my phone and I always get a clip round the ear of my partner Donna for being on Twitter on my phone when I should be playing with our 2 boys. So with this coming along now, me thinks my other ear is going to match my other ear, a battered cabbage. I really can not see Google Buzz being as big as Twitter, but I think they will give it a bloody good try, and good luck to them.
