Sunquest Announces Major ICE Updates And Enhancements

Sunquest, a leading provider of healthcare diagnostic information technology and requesting and reporting solutions, proudly announces the latest release of their global Integrated Clinical Environment™ (ICE™) solution. ICE provides web-based services and a comprehensive range of software applications for use in primary and secondary care NHS Trusts. Sunquest’s expertise in clinical and demographic data and communication systems enables ICE to communicate with all installed PAS, LIMS, RIS, and departmental systems.

The next major release within ICE will include Patient Alerting, additional functionality to Blood Tracking, OpenNet phase II, and adherence to NHS DSCN 32-2008 standards. The Patient Alerting system has significantly enhanced by adding configurable permissions and more new alert messages. Changes to Blood Tracking have added administrator controls as well as more stringent refrigerator permissions and blood type validation.

Latest advances within ICE OpenNet Phase II include the ability to create single patient cumulative view and display ward requests from linked Trusts. ICE will display the NHS number verification status and presents the NHS Number in the mandatory 3 3 4 format throughout the system.
