Jacksonville, FL - In 2008, a young entrepreneur in his mid-20’s set out to “save America one job at a time” after losing his own job and formed a one of a kind organization to help jobless professionals find new employment – at no cost. Today, JobsDirectUSA has emerged to become America’s first-ever national job search member organization with over 50,000+ members across the United States and Canada.
“JobsDirectUSA is NOT a job board” says Founder Carlos Gil “Unlike traditional job search websites, such as Monster and CareerBuilder, we are an organization that takes pride in making a positive difference in the lives of our Members by connecting them with local hiring companies – both online and off “adds the so-called social entrepreneur who started up the organization after a layoff by AIG nearly two years ago. At the time, Gil’s wife was expecting their second child and the future looked bleak at best.
Through social media Gil’s dedication turned to helping others, like him, find work and bridge the unemployment gap one job. Despite working up to 18+ hours on most days Gil’s commitment is a 24/7 effort. In addition to the countless number of job listings found through the JobsDirectUSA.com website, the organization also manages top online social networks found on LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter plus sponsors a variety of in-person job networking and recruiting events throughout the country to pair candidates with hiring companies.
Gil compares his organization, and spin on traditional employment recruiting, to the business model of Wal-Mart “Provide superior service and affordability to our end users” says Gil. While a free service for job seeking members, JobsDirectUSA charges hiring companies and recruitment firms a small annual fee to become an annual member. “Less than $1 a day, per year, that’s it. For less than the cost of a can of soda, any company in America that is hiring regardless of size can help put American’s back to work” adds Gil.
In an era in which print classified ads and traditional job boards are being used less and less by candidate seeking corporations across America, JobsDirectUSA is putting a new spin on “re-employment”
