SOFTWARE BILLIONAIRE Bill Gates, who famously dismissed the Iphone, has been telling the world plus dog that Apple has put out a lemon with its Ipad.

With Jobs' Mob's latest toy being mocked by anyone with a semblance of technological credibility it seems fairly safe to actually believe what Gates is telling us this time. Although, ironically enough, Gates has been trying to convince everyone that a PC tablet is a great idea for years and no one has ever listened.

He told Bnet that he is a big believer in touch and digital reading, but he thinks that it needs to contain a mixture of voice and a pen and have a real keyboard on it.

"So, it's not like I sit there and feel the same way I did with Iphone where I say, ‘Oh my God, Microsoft didn't aim high enough.'  It's a nice reader, but there's nothing on the Ipad I look at and say, ‘Oh, I wish Microsoft had done it,'" he said.

Of course his comments will be laughed at by the vocal Apple fanboi base who will no doubt rush below to point out that Gates failed to see the Internet coming and has allowed Windows Mobile to slowly die. After all he apparently became the world's richest man for a while by cocking everything up.
