Doha, FEB 11: The global leading business intelligence company, VMAC Business Group (VMAC) will be organising a 2 day workshop themed “Clean Development Mechanism (CDM)” on 11th & 12th April 2010 at Doha, Qatar.
Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) is one of the market mechanisms created based on the Kyoto Protocol, which is a Protocol to the United Nations Framework Convention Climate Change (UNFCCC) in the aim to combat global warming. According to the Kyoto Protocol, industrialised countries are legally adhered to reduce greenhouse gas from 2008 till 2012.
The main purpose executing Clean Development Mechanism projects is to aid developing countries globally to attain sustainable development. Other than that, it also assists these developing countries to reach their emission reduction commitments for a better atmosphere.
Based on the research conducted by VMAC’s research team, CDM is considered a new topic in the industry and many are facing challenges developing and mastering it to maximise its efficiency. Few of the challenges are caused by lacking man-power to execute, technical and government support. Understanding of CDM is crucial for a better environment and better future.
