Phoenix, AZ – February 10, 2010 – Hemoptysis are arguably one of the hardest working bands in the business. Publicist, Wicked D, has called front man Masaki Murashita,” The James Brown of metal.” Their resilience and dedication have once again paid off, allowing them to become one of twenty bands chosen as finalists in the Scion/Metal Insider sponsored, No Label Needed Contest.
This award-winning band continues to draw strong industry attention. Amazing live performances, increased radio airplay, and rave reviews have kept them in the media spotlight. Hemoptysis are currently writing material for their forthcoming, full length album.
The final round of the No Label Needed Contest and Series, presented by Scion, in collaboration with MetalInsider.net, will run from Februrary 9, 2010 through March 8, 2010. The grand prize winner will be announced on March 15, 2010.
The series is designed to teach dedicated musicians how to properly market their craft. Readers will be able to interact with contest partners, contributing musicians, and professionals.
The top band will receive mentoring from industry professionals, a Machine Shop demo recording with graphic artist-designed artwork, and enjoy a professional photo shoot, after a shopping session with Maria Brink and Blasko.
In addition, the band will receive new merchandise designs, a new website, an electronic press kit, as well as radio promotion and publicity campaigns from established marketing firms.
