Schmooze Com, Inc. (formerly Schmooze Communications, LLC) a leading provider of custom Asterisk-based telephony solutions announced today the 2.0.1 system update. Customers who are part of the beta testing program have already received the update, and customers subscribed to Peace of Mind Packages will receive the update over the course of the next three weeks.
The system update includes better background noise differentiation to the speech recognition engine, powered by LumenVox. In addition to this, the system update also includes a much anticipated upgrade to Q-Xact reports, for call center queue reporting.
However, the most significant aspect of this update is the bi-directional fax service. With XactFax, customers using the PBXact telephone system are able to send and receive faxes. Customers will also receive updates for the XactView desktop client for improved call center functionality, installation, and automatic upgrades.
“We’re excited to bring these changes to our clients’ PBXact phone systems. Customers can continue to enjoy cutting edge telephony solutions, while still enjoying the overall low overhead of our platform,” stated Tony Lewis, Schmooze Com, Inc.’s CEO.
Some other feature enhancements customers can expect include: enhanced backup module, complete XMPP-compliant chat support, kernel update for newer hardware support, the ability to add additional extensions by purchasing client access licenses, and minor bug fixes reported by end users.
