Akbar Khan, Chief Marketing Officer at Ufone announced the initiative at a dinner hosted in the honor of the elected cabinet of the National Press Club Islamabad. The capacity building workshop will be held with international trainers in the month of April this year.
Speaking on the occasion he said that both the cellular industry and the media had shown tremendous growth in the last decade and have empowered the people by providing them access to information. He congratulated the newly elected members of the National Press Club cabinet and expressed confidence that that their tenure will bring further improvements to the important organization like National Press Club.
President National Press Club Afzal Butt thanked Ufone for inviting the elected body and emphasized that telecommunication and media were interconnected in many ways and support each other. He hoped that the cooperation between Ufone and the National Press club will further grow. He proposed a few steps to strengthen the relationship with the journalist community.
Moazzam Ali Khan, Head of Public Relations and Corporate Social Responsibility at Ufone dilated upon the close cooperation between the media and Ufone in the last couple of years.
Tariq Chaudhry, the former President National Press Club also spoke on the occasion and thanked the Ufone for its initiative of inviting the National Press Club.
