Feb. 10, 2010 - PRLog -- Last year it began as a grass roots movement, but it seems to have quickly become big and profitable business. Sarah Palin was shown to have notes written on her left hand, during her speech at Nashville’s very expensive Tea Party. A speech in which she scoffed at President Barak Obama for having used a teleprompter.

It was during the pre-screened question and answer period, following her speech, that Palin appeared to read something off her hand. An enhanced photograph showed the words, ‘Energy’, ‘Tax’, Lift American Spirits’ and ‘Budget Cuts’ (with budget crossed out).

Critics around the world quickly reacted with a wide range of humour, from suggesting Palin could sell advertising space on her hand, to thanking her for giving a visual definition of 'talk to the hand', or Palin’s new job is palm reading.

Palin grabbed an opportunity to hit back during a campaign appearance with Gov. Rick Perry in Texas, by writing 'Hi Mom', on her hand.

It is understood that Sarah Palin was given $100,000 to speak at the Tea Party in Nashville, before a small select group of Tea Party convention-goers, who all paid a hefty price for the privilege. Palin touched on many of the social and political divisive topics that have driven the Tea Party movement. Three cable news channels broadcast the speech live.

During the question and answer session she said “The Republican Party would be really smart to start trying and absorb as much of the Tea Party movement as possible.”

A Fox News Sunday interview was taped the night before she delivered the address to the Tea Party convention. Palin said when asked if she would run for president in 2012, "I would if I believe that is the right thing to do for our country and the Palin family. Certainly I would do so"

When asked about the huge fee she received for appearing at the Tea Party, Palin replied, "This isn't about money. It is not about a title. It is not about a leader position in this movement," she said. "It is about the people. I will live, I will die for the people of America whatever I can do to help. And this party, this party that we call the Tea Party, this movement is the future of politics in America and I am proud to be here today."
