Beginning its seventh year of operation, American Sportsmen's Club (ASC) announces that Todd Alexander will be taking over as General Manager and will be responsible for all club operations and finances. Todd will be taking over for John Utley who is planning to retire and wishes to step away to prepare his other business ventures for his retirement. John will remain available to aid Todd in his transition. The other two club owners, John Benedict and Mike Kirby will remain associated with the club, but not take part in normal business operations.
Prior to ascending to General Manager, Todd served as the Membership Services Manager for the club. Todd is well known by the members of the club through his many years of service to them.
When asked his plans for the club, Todd responded," We have been hit hard by the tough economic times. Many folks are hard pressed to spend money on a hunting lease when they are losing their jobs and homes. My hope is to ride out this slow time, while slowly building membership, and being ready to charge forward as the economy improves. At the same time, I want to see an increase in acreage per member without significantly raising prices."
The 39 year old has been hunting and fishing for 25 yrs and grew up in a strong hunting family. He has been involved with leasing property for hunting for 17 years, and is a charter member of the Club. He has devoted many of his available hunting time, helping members successfully use Club leases, as well as mentoring newcomers to the hunting fold.
