Book Signings, Service Projects and Auto Mechanics Set the Tone for JCI Atlanta’s Dynamic Month

Junior Chamber International Atlanta, the premier organization for young professionals, recently completed one of their most dynamic months of programming ever with a variety events for young professionals.

Feb. 9, 2010 - PRLog -- -February 9-( Atlanta)- Junior Chamber International Atlanta, the premier  organization for young professionals, recently completed one of their most dynamic months of programming ever with a variety events for young professionals, including a Happy Hour to introduce a Midtown hot spot, a volunteer effort to honor Dr. Martin Luther King’s memory and the first stop on a book signing tour for one of America’s new and inspiring non-fiction authors.

JCI Atlanta began the month with their January Happy Hour, which took place at the newest addition to Midtown’s Crescent Ave. area, Enigma. Michael Bryant, owner of Enigma, treated guests to free appetizers and drink specials. Special thanks to JCI Atlanta Social Chair Ben Lack for organizing this event.

JCI Atlanta Vice President of Community Service Sanjana Mammen led a group of Jaycees on a project to honor Martin Luther King Day. A group of members and guests visited Martin Luther King Middle School and teamed with employees from Allstate Insurance to help beautify the school’s interior and exterior spaces.

Nathalie Weister, Vice President of International Relations, combined style and international flair as she organized a group that attended the High Museum’s Italian Wine Tasting.

Vice President of Individual Development Darrah Brustein began her ambitious campaign to provide a well-rounded year of events for enhancing the lives of members with her Automobile Boot Camp. This fun and informative workshop was designed to make us all more savvied car owners.

JCI Atlanta ended the month of programming with their monthly membership meeting, featuring guest speaker and author of Just Don't Fall, Josh Sundquist. Sunquist’s appearance was the first stop on his national book tour. Special thanks to Dan Lack, chairman of the board for JCI Atlanta, for organizing this event.

JCI Atlanta would also like to thank its partners, Michael Bryant, owner of Enigma; photographer Philip Ethan Grossman and John Heid of Allstate, for their help in January programming. A special thanks goes to Jeff White, Vice President of Trips for JCI Atlanta, Darrah Brustein Vice President of Individual Development, Johnny Crosskey Vice President of Marketing and Sanjana Mammen Vice President of Community Development for their leadership and assistance.

JCI Atlanta has an exciting month of programming planned for February, including our monthly happy hour (WaterHaven is the February host), an international dinner and belly dancing lesson at Café Istanbul and our monthly meeting with special guest Haley Kilpatrick of Girl Talk.
