Far away from this bluegrass state, is the beautiful country of Columbia, bordered on the northwest by Panama, on the east by Venezuela and Brazil, and on the southwest by Peru and Ecuador. Recently, from this country, are coming some of the worlds most needed resources, and now, one of the worlds most sought after resources, fashion, specifically, haute couture by Cecilia Perez.
Dress designs by Columbian designer, Cecilia Perez had been on their way to the House of Perez U.S.A. management office in Louisville for several weeks. Once the highly anticipated designs reached Louisville, they were then taken to Christan Turner, at the office of Louisville’s premier talent management company, Pinnacle 10, to be reviewed for an appearance at the Actors Theatre Lobster Fest 2010. Turner had been working with local talent, Sunday Pitts, on a script when the designs arrived. As woman do, Turner and Pitts, dropped everything to browse the designs. Everything Perez had sent was a wrap of sorts. Not one dress had a zipper. Mrs. Turner pulled out a lime green dress. Turner said, “It had a plunging neck line, and the slit going up the thigh. This was the dress I would wear! When I arrived at the event, I didn't so much as get off the elevator that everyone was staring at me. Immediately, literally immediately, people were saying that they adored my dress and style. I spent the entire evening smiling and saying ‘this is a Cecelia Perez, thank you very much!’"
