Feb. 9, 2010 - PRLog -- What is Quintessentially Soho?
Quintessentially Soho at The House of St Barnabas is an innovative, charitable pop-up members’ lounge and events space in the heart of London. Originally planned as a three month project to raise money for the Quintessentially Foundation and The House of St Barnabas charity, from October-December 2009 the pop-up raised a staggering £300,000 and pulled in an amazing 2,000 members. The huge success of the venture has meant that the project has now been extended until the end of Spring 2010.

How was it created?
Quintessentially Soho at The House of St Barnabas was originally conceived as the annual fundraising project for Quintessentially, the global luxury lifestyle group. Anabel Fielding and Caroline Hurley, co-founders of Quintessentially Events, voted one of the top 5 most influential events companies in the UK, devised the concept of a 3 month ‘pop-up’ social enterprise through the use of a private members’ club and events space. The aim was to create an exciting new venue which added a feel of exclusivity and excitement to the events scene.

The creation of Quintessentially Soho
Quintessentially Events’ next step was to team up with renowned British interior designer Russell Sage and his design studio to create a stunning new space, carefully restoring the house’s previously dated interior. Quintessentially Events and Russell Sage spent just 9 weeks approaching and securing a host of design, furniture and art sponsors, and transforming the house’s interior – at a cost, had they paid for it, of almost 2 million pounds. The result is truly magnificent – an eclectic, innovative mix of interior genres that creates a totally unique space. Brand partners include Farrow & Ball paint, high-spec artworks from the likes of Justin Koombes and Gavin Turk, exquisite furniture from George Smith and Soane Britain, stunning Swarovski crystal lighting and an exclusive Dom Pérignon designer bar.

Food and Drink partners
The House of St Barnabas is open from 11am ‘til late, Monday to Friday, where guests can enjoy lunch, afternoon tea and dinner in the restaurant or leisurely cocktails and an all day menu at the bar. Exceptional food is provided by acclaimed caterers Absolute Taste, and catering is available for everything from events canapés to private dining. Reserve Brands, the premium and luxury spirits group, are key sponsors of Quintessentially Soho and champagne is provided by Moët & Chandon and Dom Pérignon.

Quintessentially Soho as an Events Space
Quintessentially Soho at The House of St Barnabas is a unique and versatile events space in an enviable location. The venue offers private dining facilities, three lounges, a garden, a fine dining restaurant and its very own private chapel – catering to a whole host of events and parties- from cocktail parties for 30 to weddings for 200.To date, Quintessentially Soho has hosted over 300 events – all of which have been produced by Quintessentially Events.
