Customers will be able to not only purchase items in the boutique, but learn how to work them into their current wardrobe based on current fashion trends in the site's “the recipe” section. In addition, "the word" allows customers to read about Sylvia’s behind the scenes at her various fashion shoots, learn the answers to many fashion questions, as well as view images of average people with extraordinary street style.
Sylvia created the boutique in much the way she thinks of style, a mix of well selected vintage, together with indi designer pieces. Besides pieces from Sylvia Holden’s handpicked vintage collection, her own line includes knit blouses with ruffles and asymmetrical hem lines, totes and wallets with collages that have been sandwiched between vinyl with accents of snakeskin.
“The vision behind my online boutique is to design beautiful pieces that fit into a well selected vintage wardrobe” said Sylvia. “I want my site to feel comfortable yet stylish. The kind of store I would like to shop in.”
Sylvia Holden is exclusively available through the boutique and the retail price points range between $40 and $700.

ABOUT SYLVIA HOLDEN & THE BOUTIQUE
Incepted in 1998 by Sylvia Holden, Designer and Fashion Stylist, the boutique is a contemporary women’s collection of hand collected pieces of vintage and new designer apparel and accessories. Sylvia Holden has a background in fine art, design. Her process of collecting unique and distinct pieces was fostered through her education at RISD and FIT. Her art was further practiced in her work at the world renowned auction house Butterfield and Butterfield in San Francisco. Around that time Sylvia began designing handbags using antique fabric remnants and old handbag handles. Now Sylvia has come full circle - she designs her own collection, mixing it with beautiful vintage pieces she has hand selected and putting it all together in her online boutique.
