Dacris Benchmarks 8.0 was initially announced in October, 2009. Following a two-month development cycle and a two-month private beta program, the product is now available to the general public. Dacris Benchmarks 8.0 runs on Windows XP SP2, Windows Vista SP1, and Windows 7, plus Windows Server 2003/2008. It does not require elevated privileges for any benchmark tests or system information. There is also a ZIP version available for download which can be run without installation, on machines on which the user may not have administrative privileges.
