SPATE Media launches a new original series called "The Underdogs". This series will be based in NYC and will follow the lives of 5 successful artists. These artists will be rappers from the New York area. "The Underdogs" is a term used in the series to describe their underground status. An underground artists is someone that has achieved a good amount of fame but didn't breakthrough to the mainstream where they can actually make millions like Ludacris, Lil Wayne, Jay Z, Gucci Mane and others. SPATE Magazine was founded by Antoine King and Rondell aka "MaddMann" Maddox
in 2006. It was launched in 2007. After a brief print run, they decided to launch on the web and the rest is history.
