The Opportunity Expo will be open to veterans who already have civilian work experience, men and women who are transitioning from active duty to civilian life, members of the National Guard and reserves, military spouses, and other military family members. The Expo will be the 16th of 73 such events set for 2010.
A large array of veteran-friendly organizations will conduct one-on-one interviews with the job seekers—organizations that will include corporate employers, law-enforcement agencies and other government employers, franchisors, educational institutions, veterans service agencies, and veterans associations. Already in the line-up are Aegis, Inc., Argosy University—Denver, Arizona Pubic Service Company, California Department of Veterans Affairs, Coleman University, Education Corporation of America, General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc., the Golf Academy of America, Interfaith Community Services, ITT Technical Institute, Military Sealift Command, Northrop Grumman, Schlumberger, Southern California Edison Company, The Art Institutes, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), UEI College, the United States Secret Service, Virginia College, Walgreens, and Xe Company,
Virginia College (http://www.vc.edu) is a private educational institution that offers associates degrees, diploma courses, and bachelors degrees via courses on the Internet and at 13 campuses. The Golf Academy of America (http://www.golfacademy.edu) is a two-year college offering a curriculum of golf instruction and golf business management at schools in California, Arizona, South Carolina, and Florida.
RecruitMilitary (http://www2.recruitmilitary.com) will produce the Opportunity Expo in cooperation with The American Legion; Purple Heart Services; HireVetsFirst, a unit of the United States Department of Labor; and the Military Spouse Corporate Career Network (MSCCN). RecruitMilitary has produced Opportunity Expos since 2006. More than 1,675 organizations attended 215 RecruitMilitary events from 2007 through 2009.

RecruitMilitary has scheduled 73 Veteran Opportunity Expos for 2010, including additional events in San Diego on June 24, September 23, and December 9.
