“The Rick Younger Show” makes its 2010 debut on March 7 at The Parkside Lounge at 8pm. It was this show which earned Rick Younger the 2009 MAC Award for Best Male Stand-Up.
All tickets are $5.00 with a 2 drink minimum. The Parkside Lounge is located at 317 East Houston Street New York, NY 10002.
“The Rick Younger Show” merges live music, sketch comedy and stand-up in an hour long party that has audiences coming back again! A veteran stand-up comic and singer, Rick and his jazzy house band, Love Bucket, will entertain audiences with sketches, stand-up comedy and familiar songs.
Rick Younger, a self-proclaimed “Renaissance Man” has performed on “30 Seconds to Fame,” “It's Showtime at the Apollo,” and “Last Comic Standing.” As a singer and actor, Rick toured nationally with the Broadway Musical, “RENT” (2001-2002). He can be seen in numerous national television commercials (Verizon Wireless, ESPN Radio, Starburst) as well as the monthly “Guys Tell All” segment on NBC’s “The Today Show” with Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb. This summer, he appears in “Morning Glory,” featuring Harrison Ford, Diane Keaton, Rachel McAdams, and Jeff Goldblum. And he was just on the season premiere of F/X's "Damages" opposite Glenn Close, January 25.
Special guests will be announced closer to the date, but in the past, “The Rick Younger Show” has boasted appearances by Dean Edwards (Saturday Night Live), Sara Schaefer (Best Week Ever, Head Blogger for Late Night With Jimmy Fallon), Alison Becker (Parks & Recreation, Law & Order),Tony Woods (Def Comedy Jam, A&E’s Caroline Comedy Hour), Carolyn Castiglia, aka Miss CKC (Last Comic Standing), Todd Lynn (David Letterman, Comedy Central Presents, Premium Blend), Marc Theobald (The Chappelle Show, Premium Blend, Comics Unleashed), “The Hangover” Baby, and President Barack Obama.
