Members of the management team at Community Care College will be attending the 7th Annual Accrediting Bureau for Health Education Schools (ABHES) Conference in Las Vegas, NV. Although the College recently transitioned to ACICS accreditation, ABHES accreditation will be retained to insure the highest standards are adhered to for allied health programs like medical assisting and surgical technology. The College will be one of the few career colleges with dual national accreditation, allowing graduates to sit for prestigious certification exams like the American Medical Assistants Association’
The conference will feature valuable workshops and breakout sessions which help member schools to teach Allied Health disciplines more effectively. For example, one workshop features a renowned educator exploring the educational value of popular Medical TV shows like ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy and Fox’s House. Other workshops deal with administrative concerns such as developing a Program Effectiveness Plan and Needs Analysis.
“I am always excited to bring back the information I learn at ABHES to my team,” says College President Dr. Kevin Kirk. “One of the reasons that we are accredited through ABHES is that they represent the highest standards in Health Education, and that is what we strive to offer our students.
