Announcing the 2010 Hawaiʻi Island Sustainability Forum

The Hawaiʻi Island Sustainability Forum will take place at the Palace Theater in Hilo, Hawai'i On March 20th, 2010. This educational and entertaining event brings the island together to talk story and learn about our current sustainability efforts.

Feb. 8, 2010 - PRLog -- The Hawaiʻi Island Sustainability Forum will take place at the Palace Theater in Hilo, Hawai'i On March 20th, 2010.  This sustainability event brings the island together to talk story and learn about our current sustainability efforts. Presenters from Hawaiʻi Island will be sharing their latest updates on many sustainability topics.

Topics will include; water, food, shelter, energy, open government, green jobs and greener local economies. Presenters will share data, projects and insights into local sustainability practices. Attendees will gain insight from workshops in the day to an evening of presentations and informative, short videos on local sustainability efforts.

The event is being delivered by an all-volunteer team from Green Collar Technologies.
Brent Norris, Director of Green Collar Technologies mentioned, "Many of our neighbor's are experts in living lightly on the land. This event brings together all our neighbors to teach and learn to become more self-sufficient. Together we hope to make Hawaiʻi Island a global model of sustainability."
Everyone is invited to participate. Attendees are welcomed to ask our panelists questions, submit testimony in our video booths, take online surveys and sign petitions. Learn more about Green Collar Jobs. Bring your entire family.

The entry fee is $5.00 per person online, $7.00 at local ticket outlets, or $10.00 at the box office on the evening of the event.
