Annette Shepherd has been completely immersed in an intense desire to create art since she was old enough to hold a crayon. As an adult, her entrepreneurial spirit inspired her to launch Paint by Color, retailing her unique yet functional hand painted ceramic wares at arts and crafts shows and wholesaling to wineries and gift shops along the west coast. With the Paint by Color business going strong, Annette’s desire to continually build and grow her creative skill set resulted in discovering a talent - and passion - for faux finishing. Following tutelage with world-renowned instructor Kelly S. King of the KSK Academy of Faux Painting & Decorative Finishing, Annette came away from the experience completely prepared and excited to launch a successful career in faux painting and decorative finishing: Artistic Accent Walls.

Annette has continued expanding her repertoire exclusively through the Kelly S. King Academy, now a division of Modern Masters Inc.  Kelly S. King is now the Director of Education and New Product Development for Modern Masters and has created exclusive curricula taught only at Platinum Training Centers worldwide including the most unique and sought after finishes in the Faux Finishing and Decorative Painting Industry.
