The Westchester Putnam Association of REALTORS® (WPAR), a non-profit trade organization representing more than 7,500 real estate professionals, announces its February lineup of real estate classes, beginning with “Financing for the Difficult Buyer” set for February 10 at 6:30 p.m. and February 12 at 10:00 a.m. The three-hour course will involve dealing with clients who have poor credit, high debt ratios, bankruptcy, underwriting issues, and more.
“1031 Exchange Overview,” scheduled for February 18 at 10:00 a.m., will discuss deferring capital gains taxes when selling investment properties. This is especially important for those who are buying or selling a vacation home, rental units or any other investment property.
Those interested in updating their professional images and developing a more competitive edge in the marketplace will be interested in “Consumer Based Marketing,” offered on February 23, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. “Construction Skills,” involving everything from basic plumbing to structural defects, is being offered on February 26, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
