It has been claimed that the heavy snowfall currently frustrating the UK population by disrupting the transport and communication lines, could be a mighty flare up running prior to a total extinction.
The prediction has been made by Michael Goodwin, the chief executive officer at Car-hire-UK, a popular vehicle rental company operating in the United Kingdom. According to him, the attrition would become apparent once the heavy episodes – the flare ups – subside, and this could be starting to happen by around 2015.
For substantiating this thinking, Goodwin cites a few points starting from the global warming that was once considered by many as just a hypothesis. He further explained that a a great number of people living in the tropical zones had complained about an uncharacteristic dip in the winter temperatures a decade back; to be more precise around the start of the new millennium. However, these people today have nothing of the kind to lament, but of an increase in the temperature by, say more than 1 degree Celsius.
Goodwin urges the people to closely observe the changes occurring in the polar regions, to feel themselves of the slow disintegration of ice, which is also apparent at most of the great mountain ranges in the world. Another tragedy that is visible to anyone with anyone with intriguing and sensible eyes, is the slow death faced by the glaciers that supports numerous perennial rivers of the earth. He added that things would be initially pretty visible at the areas around the Equator, although the inhabitants of the temperate zones will definitely be the next in the queue.
Goodwin's findings are quite significant today as people currently are all the more realising the need for keeping the planet as green as they can, for avoiding any potential catastrophes pertinent to the present devil called the 'Global Warming'. The main counter-measures, although a bit tough for being easily carried out, are the cutting of emission and re-afforestation or afforestation, the latter not meant for hunting this time around.
Goodwin concluded by averring that he had realised the situation quite a while back and had already begun taking his share of steps to at least arrest the attrition if not revert it. He solemnly affirms that all the vehicles owned by Car-hire-UK were strictly compliant with the existing European emission standards. Furthermore, the company has also launched a green range of environment friendly and fuel efficient vehicles. Goodwin further stressed the fact that he had particularly seen that the green vehicle range did not cost the customers the earth.
Car-Hire-UK offers its green range of vehicles that emit the lowest CO2 levels at London Heathrow airport and London Gatwick airport. The company's latest Hybrid Eco-Car range includes large saloon and estate cars. While the Hybrid Eco-car range of the firm also include goodies such as the Toyota Prius, the main attraction here is obviously the MPV nine seater rental; the fresh green low carbon People mover.
