Mumbai, 5 February 2010 - Birla Kerala Vaidyashala, India's leading ayurvedic medi-spa, launches India's first Mobile Spine Clinic to provide relief to the overstressed executives and celebrities.

World Health Organization estimates almost 25% of Indian population suffer from back pains. That’s a large number for our country. According to Bureau of Labour Statistics, the service industry reports the maximum incidents of back injuries or back pains, followed by manufacturing and retail.
According to Harvard School of Public Health, at any given time, 15 percent to 20 percent of adults--evenly split among men and women--experience low back symptoms. The fact remains that each year, 50 million working days are lost because of back-related discomfort.

The Spine is a remarkable combination of strong bones, flexible ligaments and tendons, large muscles and highly sensitive nerves. It is designed to be incredibly strong, protecting the highly sensitive nerve roots, yet highly flexible, providing for mobility on many different planes. Most of us take this juxtaposition of strength, structure and flexibility for granted in our everyday lives—until something goes wrong. Only when we're in pain, we're driven to know what's wrong and what it will take to relieve the pain and prevent a recurrence.

Says Mr. Yash Birla, ". In this competitive world people have to run at a fast pace to achieve their goals. In this process they tend to overlook their health. The main reason is the time constraint. Just to overcome this problem, we have launched the BKV Mobile Spine Clinic.”

Says Mr. Harshajeet Kuroop, MD Birla Kerala Vaidyashala, " This is the era of wellness. Wellness market constitutes of 110 billion Rs. and it is growing 30-35% annually. If we look at the market region wise, for a population of  1 lakh, the South has 34.4 centres, the North has 13.6 centres, the West has 12 centres and the East has 10.1. In an office setting of 100 people, it is estimated that on a given day, 10 to 12 people probably have some kind of back pain.  Most back pain can be effectively treated with these ayurvedic treatments. This clinic will offer the entire ayurvedic treatment of the back to the users, all you need to do is make a call and book the BKV Mobile Spine Clinic at your convenient time and place. Here then everything will be managed by our team".

The modern lifestyle has played havoc  on the health of millions around the globe. Improper eating habits, bad sitting postures, inadequate sleep, lack of quality exercise, all of this has resulted in health problems far bigger than ever imagined. Professionals, celebrities and people having improper working hours face these problems tremendously, especially when one has a rigid traveling schedule. Back ache is one of the most commonly found health problems.

Irregular spinal postures, lifting heavy weights, increased car and motor driving, using dangerously uncomfortable chairs, stress, age, obesity etc. increases the pressure in these sensitive structures of the spine.
The most common problems faced are:-
