Keenan-carter Group Hits 100 Sides Milestone In 2009

Feb. 4, 2010 - PRLog -- PISMO BEACH –  The Keenan-Carter Group, headquartered here, announced that its real estate operation accounted for 100 “sides” in 2009. Dick Keenan, principal of the Group, said the actual number of sides for the year was 103, and that figure included transactions in which the group represented sellers or buyers, and in some cases both the buyer and the seller in the transaction.
   “We’re not the largest real estate group on the Central Coast, but we have 2 buyer’s specialists on the team,” Mr. Keenan said, “as well as two of us who are residential specialists and generally represent the sellers in the transactions.
   “This combination, plus our excellent support staff, gave us the unique blend of talents to achieve the 100 sides milestone in what many consider an uncertain market.”
   The Keenan-Carter Group consists of principals Dick Keenan and Narlene Carter-Keenan, buyer specialists Kathy Austin and Kris McLaughlin, transaction manager Andrea Perkins, and call coordinator Heather Whitlock. The group is affiliated with Keller Williams Central Coast in Pismo Beach, and also operates with Keller Williams Coastal Valley, a franchise founded and owned by Mr. Keenan and Ms. Carter-Keenan in Santa Maria.    Narlene Carter-Keenan is a Central Coast native, as is husband Dick, a licensed broker and Certified Residential Specialist (CRS). She has had an extensive and successful career in real estate, beginning with some of the most successful agencies in the area, before affiliating with Keller Williams and co-founding the Keenan-Carter Group in 2003 and Keller Williams Coastal Valley in 2004. Both she and Mr. Keenan have more than 20 years of real estate experience.
   Ms. Carter-Keenan has represented a wide range of clients, including tract and condominium developers, upscale custom home developers, estate owners, and first-time buyers. She is knowledgeable in lending criteria, and has been successful with numerous short sales, (negotiating with the lender to accept less than what is owed).
   She played competitive women's soccer for 10 years. Running is a new competitive passion, and to date she has completed 3 marathons and several half-marathons. She has 2 children, Michael, 20, and Kayla, who will graduate from high school this year, 17.
