Safety glasses specialist Avis Safety Products, a division of Global Vision Eyewear Corp., showcased many new products which aid in convenience, comfort, and functionality while still complying with ANSI standards.
Of the featured glasses, the Freedom 24 carries several unique transitions and options within one product. The glasses can be worn as glasses or as goggles with the strap add-on. There is also a prescription eyewear adapter when an insert can comfortably fit into the frame. The UV activated transitional lens transform these glasses into sunglasses. The Freedom has the option of a foam insert where dust and debris can be blocked from the eyes.
Global Vision Eyewear president Richard Wright said, "I strive to make products that are versatile and that can solve the common issues of people who need certain functions integrated with their safety glasses or goggles. With all of the interchangeable parts of our glasses, the best part is that they all meet ANSI standards - therefore making them safety compliant."
The Escort series glasses are designed to be worn over existing normal everyday glasses. For workers who wear custom prescription glasses, the Escort allows them to still have the same corrective eyesight while being fully protected with safety glasses. Wright, who wears glasses himself, demonstrated the ease of wearing the Escort and the true functionality of the concept.
Another unique item that pushes the innovative standards of safety glasses is the C2-Bifocal Kit which features interchangeable clear and smoke lenses. The bifocal lenses are a multi-functional product much needed in the work place. The ease in which the lenses are removed and put back in make this ANSI compliant item is attributed to the quality of its frame.
Wright concluded with, "I travel around the world in order to provide my consumers with the very best and most forward thinking concepts in our safety glasses and goggles. The interchangeable parts in our glasses provide a multi-function product that can be used both in and out of the work place. The most important aspect is that our glasses, with all of these features and functions, meet or exceed the ANSI standard."
