Atlanta – Feb. 4, 2010 – firstPRO has been named to Staffing Industry Analysts’ “Ten Best Staffing Firms to Work For” in the United States.
firstPRO’s practices that led to the high ranking include:
• A culture of sharing ideas
• An innovative mentorship program
• Strong entrepreneurial spirit
• Diversity initiatives
• Lucrative advancement opportunities
The results are based on 2009 employment. In the first-annual report, independent research firm Staffing Industry Analysts, which publishes a monthly magazine on contingent labor, ranked the companies based on key criteria—including retention, training and benefits.
In the report, firstPRO CEO April Nagel said the company is a great place to work because management recognizes employees who work hard and meet goals. She also credited firstPRO’s commitment to listening to staff suggestions.
Employee: ‘We Have Managers Who Will Listen’
Staffing Industry Analysts’ surveys went to representatives from staffing firms nationwide, who gave factual answers on company policies. Surveys also went to those firms’ employees, who offered opinions of their workplaces.
One of those employees, Area Manager Jared Kennedy, credited firstPRO’s focus on open-mindedness.
“We have managers who will listen, who will take anyone’s suggestions if it makes sense,” Kennedy said.
Susan Zingaro, executive VP of firstPRO’s traditional staffing division, credited the company’s commitment to advancing employees from within.
She added that everyone on the executive team was a recruiter at some point. In fact, 95 percent of all promotions come from firstPRO’s ranks.
This isn’t the first time firstPRO has been recognized for employee relations. In 2007, Atlanta Business Chronicle named firstPRO to the newspaper’s “Best Places to Work” in metro Atlanta.
