We are proud to announce that, on May 6th 2009, TheArchaeologicalBox.com was officially launched. “Phase One: Community” offers a variety of online features that will become more and more interactive as we add a series of planned add-ons throughout the summer leading to our “Phase Two: Science” launch later this year. If you have been following the progress of our site development, you will no doubt agree that it has evolved a great deal since last December’s pre-beta version. Presently, in addition to offering international archaeological news and events as well as forums and member profiles, we also offer repertories for archaeological sites and field schools, photo galleries, blogs, an interactive equipment guide, etc.
In order to help fulfill our archaeology awareness mandate, each of you can create, free of charge, your own member account whether personal or business. The Business account is offered not only to corporate members but also to organizations, associations, centres, agencies, departments, clubs, etc. Moreover, we offer a Business PLUS account which includes several added features. To celebrate the launch of our site, we will be offering for a limited time throughout the summer this account type to all our regular business members free of charge.
