“Its ya boy man, who? ME! N[pause] Dot [pause] JAY”, Is the phrase what you will be hearing and becoming familiar with this Spring/Summer. N.Jay a.k.a. NdotJay, a 24 year old rapper/producer from Pontiac, Michigan, is preparing to make a huge impression this summer. Setting himself aside from the ever so popular “Trap Music” scene and creating his own lane on his own highway, is how he [N.Jay] plans to attack the public and introduce the nation to a new sound and a new face.

With hypnotizing hooks, classic catch phrases and memorable metaphors, he will most definitely be one of the leading contenders to step into the world of music industry. “I chose my market, saw an opportunity and took it”! He said. Hailing from a city riddled with murders and high crime, he has found his ways through the cracks and alleys to a better way of living. His music showcases his love for his craft, family, success and of course women.

With artists like Twista, Kanye, Common, Jibbs and Nelly to name a few, there is a certain sound that the Mid West has. “I want to show that we have more to offer” said N.Jay. Pontiac, which is located right outside of Detroit, has always been in competition with the bigger city. When you’re out of town you normally say “I’m from Detroit”. “To me, many Detroit artists sound similar, I want to be on the radio and nobody knows where I’m from, I don’t want the automatic He from the D comments or He’s Another Local Rapper” N.Jay says. With songs like: “Hey Momma”, a dedication to his family and “Pick N Roll” feat. Lil Chiefy, hr does a great job in slimming down the comparisons.

Collaborating and producing for and with the likes of popular inner city artists such as Lil’ Chiefy, Rated R, Ben Po and Interstate Ace (RIP) to name a few, N.Jay has made what he does know in his home town. Also, reaching out to other up and coming artists like Lil’ Jab (Atlanta) and J. Rilla (Wisconsin VIA Flint), N Dot has continued to expand his brand in hopes of catching more ears and more hearts.

“Any artist who has made it in the game has earned my respect” He said. “They all have worked hard and each style is different, that why they are where they are! There isn’t two Jay-Zs or two Young Jeezys or even two Soulja Boys. Each artist is different and that’s what I will bring to the table. My originality” He adds.
