Being typically a budget phone, Samsung C3050 is pocket friendly device with necessary features of communication and entertainment. An unbiased opinion that I hold for this set is that it is a good set for use in a family and not as a splashy gizmo for business and traveling purpose. It is a lightweight handset which comes in a specific black colour finish. The unusual look of C3050 is the effect of big OK button placed in the mid position. TFT display is 2.0 inch LCD screen of 128 x 160 pixels resolution. The white backlight for the keypad makes it easy to operate the set even in dimly lit or dark areas.

Samsung C3050 has a fully integrated VGA camera of 640 x 480 pixel resolution, well enough for amateur photography. I would like to depend more upon my digital camera than trying to take planned shots on a mobile. I fully agree with ease of transferring images mobile phone for storage and printing, but somehow that fails to give me satisfaction. Snapping with mobiles should be enough for unplanned sudden needs. The memory front of C3050 is just equal to most of the good sets. I can make 1000 contact entries with 30 of each dialed numbers, received calls and missed calls, the very usual capacity on most of the sets.

It is a set working on GPRS Class 10 and EDGE Class 10. This 2G quad band set also features Bluetooth v2.0 for data transfer and additional support of USB v2.0. Samsung C3050 holds 15 MB internal memory and expandable up to 8GB with microSD card. I consider its capacity of messaging is good for convenience of sending SMS, MMS and Email. This set also has java MIDP 2.0 for supporting MP3 player, Mobile Tracker, Organizer, Voice memo and T9. The FM radio complements C3050’s music and entertainment department in addition to the loaded and downloadable games.
