Valentine’s Day is the perfect holiday for the café’s bakers to showcase their pastry and culinary expertise. The Village Bakery will have special Valentine’s pastries and baked goods available at both its Chestertown and Kent Island locations for the weeks leading up to Valentine’s and will also take custom orders available for pick-up on Feb. 14th.
In the spirit of Valentine’s Day, much of the Village Bakery and Café’s special items will be heart-shaped though there will be many delectable pastries available in traditional styles. Individual desserts can be purchased as gifts and many of the Valentine’s menu items make an indulgent treat for the entire family.
The Valentine’s pastry and dessert menu includes: iced sugar cookies, handmade truffles, truffle brownies, cream puffs, chocolate dipped strawberries, individual mini cakes, and much more. The café’s bakers have also created three gourmet heart-shaped cakes in three different flavors for the holiday: Gran Mariner, Red Velvet, and Coconut.
All menu items at the Village Bakery are made in the store daily using fresh, quality local ingredients and the Village Bakery team prides itself on providing superior service to all customers and giving a keen attention to detail in every culinary creation.

Stop into the Village Bakery and Café on Washington Avenue in Chestertown or at the Rainbow Plaza on Kent Island for decadent cakes, cookies, truffles, and more. The Village Bakery and Café is open six days a week from 6:30 a.m.-5 p.m. on Tuesdays and Wednesdays; 6:30 a.m.-8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday; and, 9 a.m.-
2 p.m. on Sundays.
