When Stanford Hospital invited Carebox to display products a few weeks ago, a funny thing happened, people said they had never seen such creative and beautiful gifts, which included: Lavender Ladies, Hugs and Kisses, Nausea, NOT! Arm Yourself, Club Pink, Welcome to the World and and Lemons to Lemonade. Each original box was designed to bring joy, soothe, provide comfort or simply say thank you. And get this: a portion of the profits are donated to organizations working on an early detection test for cancer.
Because the founder of Carebox got her training at Apple Computer, she already knew that choice and customer service was paramount, so when people at Stanford Hospital began to clamor to build their own careboxes from existing products, "Build a Box" was born. New (and unexpected) products were added to Build a Box: vases that expand when water is added, an edible chocolate orchid, a candle in the shape of peas in a pod, fleece neck warmers and many flavors of bath "ice cream."
