PRLog (Press Release) - Feb. 3, 2010 - ALVESCOT, OXFORD, UNITED KINGDOM – Beating Formula One racing icons to the chequered flag was tough. But today, founder of the slick, simulated racing car franchise, Racing Challenge, believes the real test will be staying a lap or two ahead of the recession. So far, Mike Yeats has good reason to be optimistic because, even in the midst of the economic downshift, his business has had its highest trading network turnover in seven years.

Says Yeats: “We’re taking on more franchisees, and they’re doing really well despite everything that’s going on in the wider economy, which is benefiting the network as a whole. Racing Challenge is a fresh, unique and exciting entertainment system, which is one of the main reasons why I believe the business is still growing.”

The simulated experience of Racing Challenge is so close to the real thrill of the track that it recently grabbed the attention of racing icons ‘The Stig’ (until a few weeks ago believed to be Michael Schumacher) and Damon Hill, neither of who could resist a few hair-raising laps of the track.

Laughs Mike: “I’ve beaten Hill, Stig and Mark Webber (Red Bull Formula 1 racing ) at the Racing Challenge, which I think is pretty cool.”

However, it’s unlikely that either Hill or Webber were able to see the funny side. While both managed to get around Monza in just 1.52.116, Yeats shot past the finish line with an even more impressive 1.49.343 flashing on the screen.

But Yeats is modest: “While I’ve shaved a few seconds off of those guys in a simulated race, I can only dream of taking them on for real!”

With their own Racing Challenge Super 4 or Super 8, new franchisees are able to earn an excellent income from their own exclusive and protected territory, and benefit from full training and marketing support from Yeats and his head office team. They also receive a range of high quality promotional materials, and branded clothing to wear at booked events.

“At a time of economic doom and gloom, Racing Challenge is a really fun, lucrative business to own and run,” says Yeats. “We’re looking for spirited and savvy business people who are perhaps looking for a change of career, or want to make the most of a recent severance package.

“Also, we’re about to introduce an exciting new ‘Try-Before-You-Buy’ scheme which will allow potential franchisees to run their own Racing Challenge business for twelve months before making any major financial commitment!”

Editor notes

Some of the points that have made the Racing Challenge a franchising success story include:

·       Its celebrity appeal.

·       Its multiplayer design: Up to 8 drivers can race against each other in the same race at the same time!

·       Racing Challenge has two models available: the SUPER 4, which can fit on any drive and operate off a 13-amp plug or generator. And the SUPER 8, which has eight racing seats and spectator standing. These are both available as separately priced franchise opportunities.

·       Its diverse appeal: Racing Challenge has been designed so people of any age, 7 to 70, can enjoy the experience, making it ideal for birthday parties, corporate events and promotions.
