InfoBarrel.com, a leading revenue sharing community publishes it's 10,000,000th word on the site.
Infobarrel.com was launched in summer 2008 and in just over 1.5 years the community driven website has passed a substantial landmark. February 1st, 2010 InfoBarrel officially published 10,000,000 words. If you were to print the entire site into encyclopedias, Infobarrel would take up roughly 6.25 full sized encyclopedias.
In discussions with Ryan McKenzie, director of InfoBarrel he stated "While this is a pretty large number in terms of words published we feel this is only scratching the surface of what this web site is capable of. To put things into perspective, sites like Hubpages have over half a million total articles where we literally published our 19,000th article today (Feb 2,2010). As the site becomes more popular we believe that the number of quality articles being published should eventually surpass 1000 published articles per day."
Outside of this announcement http://www.InfoBarrel.com has recently released numerous other features. In the past week, the site has redesigned the article template which has proven to dramatically improve revenue for the site's content producers, the site has redesigned the category pages to improve navigation and a community has emerged through a custom forum that was recently launched. All the recent changes have improved the sense of on site culture and community and is helping to push the entire site to the next level.
