Sekurus International’
Basel Al Salah CEO of Sekurus said “Autism is the most common of the Pervasive Developmental Disorders, affecting an estimated 1 in 146 births. We believe that the we need to use a non-traditional means to bring awareness to the general public such an event with the largest number of motorcycles traveling at the same time across Dubai may have a bigger impact then your standard billboard or poster bring a vast number of the community together”.
The aim of the rally is to get people talking about the disorder and to raise money for research. Each Thunder Parade participant will be requested to make a donation of up to 100AED per bike on the day to the team from Dubai Autism. Riders will receive participation numbers and identification from Dubai Autism. “Thunder Parade”, is organized by the Dubai HOGS and the Desert Warriors at the Gulf Bike Expo and riders will come together as a community to help deliver awareness for autism.
For those who need to know, Autism (sometimes called "classical autism") is the most common condition in a group of developmental disorders known as the ASD. Autism is characterized by impaired social interaction, problems with verbal and nonverbal communication, unusual, repetitive, or severely limited activities and interests.
