By: Bill Garfield Do you fancy long weekend away to relax and enjoy yourself. If so then can I recommend you book yourself into Bed and Breakfast in Stratford Upon Avon and order yourself some tickets for the Spring Sounds festival which runs from Friday 28th May to Monday 31st May. For the 2010 event Tasmin Little and David Curtis, Artistic Director and Festival Director respectively, have assembled a four day extravaganza with a multitude of musicians from the Orchestra of the Swan to Sarah Williamson from Paul Watkins to Roxanna Panufnik. The highlights of last years event included performances by The Smetena Piano Trio, Martin Roscoe and Swan Unbuttoned and Orchestra of the Swan with Tasmin Little. Last year also saw events at the Holy Trinity Church which is where Shakespeare is buried and also events at the Compton Verney Art Gallery. There promises to be such highlights again in 2010 with confirmations of: Musical Masterpieces – All day Saturday 29th at the Town Hall Beethoven’s Violin Concerto – 8pm, Sunday 30th, Civic Hall A Russian Reverie – 3pm, Sunday 30th, Venue TBC Waltons Facade – 3pm, Monday 31st, Compton Verney Tasmin Little plays Vivaldi – 8pm, Friday 28th, Civic Hall Alongside these concerts are family events including The Four Seasons School project, guerrilla concerts and the Pied Piper musical trail. It seems like as good a time as any to get the family together, book yourself into a Bed and Breakfast in Stratford Upon Avon, attend some of the concerts at the Spring Sounds festival and see the sights of our historic town. # # # Bed and Breakfast in Stratford-upon- End
