It is great to see all the press Michelle Obama is generating for those firmly engaged in the fight against childhood obesity. She has brought to the forefront an issue that has grown to epidemic proportions in the United States and other countries around the world.
Obama, speaking at a meeting of the U.S. Conference of Mayors, said the idea was simple: "To put in place common-sense initiatives and solutions that empower families and communities to make healthy decisions for their kids."
The GoTrybe team used a common-sense approach to develop a real program to use in the war against this threat. Why fight the inevitable? Meet kids where they want to be, in front of a digital device. GoTrybe turns some of the sedentary screen time into Active Screen Time by giving subscribers the ability to build their own workouts, learn about healthy eating habits and proper ways to take care of themselves.
Hopefully, when Mrs. Obama announces her plan on February 8, 2010, she will include some tools, like GoTrybe, in her recommendations for everyone to consider.
