CHESTER drinks maker, Rosie Sedgwick, used to boast that the eclectic range of fruit liqueurs she sells from her My Gineration website and outlets across the country have the taste that makes you go ‘Ooooh’!
But with Valentine’s Day on the horizon, her newly developed Passionfruit liqueur, served with a twist of romance, is the tipple that makes lovers go ‘Aaaah’!
“Well at least that’s what I’m being told by customers who are snapping up bottles of my Passionfruit liqueur as Valetine’s gifts” said Rosie, who launched her business from home five years ago.
“It seems today’s young bucks want a gift that is different, romantic and something that they can enjoy together with their sweethearts. Well my delicious Passionfruit liqueur certainly ticks all those boxes.
“It’s made in Mollington, Cheshire with only passionfruit, gin, sugar and ‘time’ and is just one of a range of flavours available from my website and a variety of outlets. But naturally my Passionfruit liqueur is the most appropriate for February 14th.
“My advice is to serve it neat with a cube of ice or add a splash of sparkling wine. However my Valentine’s Day customers seem to be content to add a touch of amour - which is perfectly fine by me.”
Rosie’s pre-Valentine’
“The run up to Christmas was extremely busy with record orders from long standing clients as well as increased demand on the website. I actually expected a post Christmas lull but it seems that the sweethearts of 2010 are determined to celebrate St Valentine’s with a real passion.
“I suspect that demand has also been boosted by the fact that an on-line gifts website featured my Passionfruit liqueur as an ideal gift for lovers.
“I’m absolutely delighted that my liqueurs are proving so popular with romantics of all ages and come Valentine’s Day I’ll be raising a glass to lovers everywhere.”
