In response to the recent tragedy in Haiti, Clary Sage College will be hosting a “Day of Compassion” on February 1, 2010 to raise money for the relief effort. One hundred percent of the money earned from spa services will be donated to the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR). Ribbons will also be sold to raise additional money for Haitian survivors.
In the days leading up to the event, students and visitors at all three campuses—Clary Sage College, Community Care College and Oklahoma Technical College—are encouraged to donate their spare change to Haiti relief effort in the receptacles labeled “Change for Change.”
“Clary Sage College has always been highly involved in local community service projects, but it is important from time to time to look outside of ourselves at more global areas of need,” Christen Brummett, Clary Sage College Campus Director said. “We are so excited to do our part in restoring stability and relief to Haiti after the earthquake.”
Guests are encouraged to book an appointment for February 1 in advance if possible, although walk-ins are always welcome. Clary Sage College offers an assortment of cosmetology, spa and esthetics services, and a spa menu is available online at www.clarysagecollege.com.
