North Carolina Veterinary Medical Association Announces February As Pet Dental Health Month

RALEIGH, N.C. – The North Carolina Veterinary Medical Association (www.ncvma.org) has announced the designation of February as National Pet Dental Health Month by the American Veterinary Medical Association.  According to the AVMA, the lack of proper dental cleaning in pets can lead to severe oral disease, the most common health problem diagnosed for pets.  Pet owners are encouraged to visit their veterinarians to schedule regular dental checkups and cleanings.
