Geeky iPhone and software developers very rarely want to get to up close and personal with their customers, much less fly them thousands of miles to do so...
General Linguistics, through it's Bueno, entonces... learn Spanish Facebook Page is giving away a trip to learn Spanish in Buenos Aires, Argentina for the second year in a row if they reach 10,000 fans by March 12, 2010. 100 fans will qualify to win the trip for two by participating in a series of contests and promotions on the Facebook page between January 11th and March 12th. The lucky winner and a friend will hang out with the cast and crew of the hot new Spanish language learning program, see the local sights, and of course, learn some Spanish.
From now until February 5th, Facebook fans can upload a photo of themselves to the Bueno, entonces... Fan Page Wall, holding a hand-made sign that says "I want to win a trip to Argentina!" They'll tag themselves in the photo and have their friends 'like' the photo. The 10 fans with the most 'likes' will qualify to be in the final drawing to win a trip to Argentina.
Participants will receive prizes like free copies of the Bueno, entonces... Learn Spanish program, iTunes Gift Certificates, and iPods throughout the contest period. The Grand Prize Winner will be chosen from the pool of 100 finalists and announced in a live video drawing on March 12th.
"Bueno, entonces... is a new concept in language learning - using time tested methods with the latest technology, and with an energy and flavor made for young people. We felt that we owed it to our fans to give them a chance to practice what they've learned in a real Spanish-speaking setting." says Cori Allen, producer of the Bueno, entonces... Spanish program.
The Bueno, entonces... Learn Spanish I & II course, consisting of 30 classes of 35 minutes each, chronicles the journey of a cheeky Londoner (David) as he learns Spanish with an attractive Argentine professor, Jimena. The program was featured by Apple in the iPhone App Store, and at the same time, was deemed 'inappropriate' by the same company back in November (Class 27 was not approved due to the 'vulgar' content, as David discusses the Kama Sutra, accompanied by the famous illustrations from the book).
A comprehensive Spanish program meeting the tough standards of both the American Council for Teaching a Foreign Language and the Common European Framework Reference for Languages, General Linguistics goes well beyond other language programs and doesn't shy away from using more colorful language and imagery.
Allen concludes, "This isn't a program for the faint of heart. If you think you may be offended, you most definitely will be."
