VoicetapTM wins the Red Herring Global Top 100 award

February 1, 2010 New Delhi: Voicetap Technologies (www.voicetap.in) – a startup headquartered out of New Delhi, has won the Red Herring Global 100 award held in California on 13th -15th January.  Voicetap is a company that is focused towards bridging the knowledge gap by connecting knowledge seekers to knowledge experts using the medium of Voice.
Voicetap had previously won Red Herring Asia 100. “Choosing the best out of the previous three years was by no means a small feat,” said Alex Vieux, publisher and CEO of Red Herring. “After rigorous contemplation and discussion, we narrowed down our list from 1,200 potential companies to 200 finalists.  Trying to get it down to 100 companies was a task upon itself.  The top 100 companies who were chosen should be extremely proud, the competition was difficult.”
Red Herring’s Global 100 list has become a mark of distinction for identifying promising new companies and entrepreneurs. Red Herring’s editorial staff evaluated the companies on both quantitative and qualitative criteria, such as financial performance, technical innovation, management quality, strategy, and market penetration.

Voicetap has also been selected amongst the 20 finalists from all over the world for Mobile Premier Awards in Innovation – The largest open and global startup competition by an international jury of the most recognized mobile industry experts and will be presenting on 15th Feb at the event in Barcelona in front of investors, operators, media companies, peer entrepreneurs, and press and influential bloggers.
