(PRWEB) January 29, 2010 -- Eco1st Technology Group, a Santa Ana, California-based company, manufactures a one of a kind irrigation technology called the Inline Processor that has been increasing potato yields all across America. According to several potato farmers who are currently using the Inline Processor to “enhance their irrigation water”, they have substantially increased their crop yields. One Lay’s chip potato farmer stated "I received a 40% increase in the first year and a 45% increase in yield the second year."

Potatoes are water sensitive and more easily stressed than most other crops. The reason for this sensitivity is due to their shallow roots and because they are commonly grown on coarse textured soils that have low to medium water holding capacities. Yet potatoes remain a highly water dependent crop that needs a constant, steady supply of water. This is where an innovative irrigation equipment called the “Eco1st Inline Processor” is perfect for potato farmers. The Inline Processor enables them to “enhance their irrigation water” by leaving water in a more permeable state and allows the water to percolate much easier and quicker through the soil.

Finding the perfect balance between under and over watering is extremely important for the potatoes to grow to maximum crop yields. Farmers from California, Washington, Idaho to Florida are all constantly trying to find new ways to reach this perfect medium and maximize their potato crop yields.  With the Inline Processor these farmers can do more with less and maximize profits.

The primary goal of potato irrigation management is to minimize soil water fluctuations and maintain available soil water within the optimum range of 65-85%. The perfect potato sugar to starch ratio is made up of 79% water and 21% solids. Irrigation systems best suited to this task are those that are capable of light, uniform, and frequent water applications. The Eco1st Inline Processor allows the water to more evenly soak into the soil and penetrate at much deeper levels enhancing any type of irrigation a farmer may be using to irrigate their crops. An effective irrigation management program must include regular quantitative monitoring of soil water availability and scheduling irrigations according to crop water use, soil holding capacity, and crop-rooting depth.

The Inline Processor effectively strips electrons from the irrigation water which takes away the normal bonding nature of the water and causes a reduction in surface tension along with a 56% average increase in percolation which increases the overall health of the plant.  When the potato plant itself is no longer heavily stressed and using the majority of its efforts to keep itself alive it will use more energy to produce potatoes and yields will be increased dramatically. The benefits of the Inline Processor, allows potato farmers to achieve the yields, plant health and increase in profits they work so hard for.

Normal irrigation water naturally bonds to itself and foreign contaminates creating blockages in a plants root system and throughout the plants leaves which consequently decreases the amount of water that the plant is able to uptake. Processed water or water that has flowed through the Inline Processor flows more easily through the soil and up into the plant’s leaves. Micronutrients in the soil can present themselves as a restriction to this flow under normal circumstances however processed water flows more easily around them breaking them down into smaller micronutrients that are transported through the root membrane with the water and on up into the plant. All of these benefits allow for the perfect medium and plant health essential maximum potato yields.

The Inline Processor is on several potato farms across the U.S. This technology operates without the use of chemicals, requires no power source, does not have any maintenance costs and does not require operator adjustments. The return on investment has been reported by customers to be within the first growing season and is backed by a 10 year limited warranty and a one year satisfaction guarantee. The “Inline Processor” will soon be recognized as a standard piece of equipment that each farm should have to maximize plant health, crop yields and profitability.

Eco1st Technology Group and the Inline Processor will be on display early next month at the World Ag Expo (www.worldagexpo.com) in Tulare, California February 9th-11th, 2010.
