"I am very excited about BLEU Magazine's ever-evolving transition and I am confident in knowing that the expertise that these two gentlemen bring to the table will continue to take the Bleu brand to higher heights," says De'Von Christopher, Publisher of Bleu Magazine.
Prior to joining Bleu, Tyrus was a freelance journalist for The Advocate, Essence.com, Crème-Magazine, and several other publications where he wrote about music, men who cook, visual arts, and a number of other topics. In the mid-2000’s Tyrus worked as a publishing associate for MetLife, a leading provider of insurance and other financial services, where he was responsible for creating marketing and advertising packages, as well as public relations campaigns for internal and external clients on community service projects. Tyrus has also held positions at Arcos Communications, a public relations agency, and Wachovia Bank.
"Though I have previously worked with Bleu Magazine as a freelance writer, I am excited to take over the reins as Editor-In-Chief. It is my duty and responsibility to ensure that Bleu becomes the premiere publication for today's man who desire the very best in fashion, lifestyle, culture, etiquette, entertainment and etc. Our goal is to make BLEU a global brand, with new ventures in television and radio, that will last for years to come," says Townsend.
Roger was first introduced to the art of styling by Eric L. Archibald and worked alongside June Ambrose, where he was swathing the likes of Lil’ Kim in Gucci and Chanel, Foxy in furs and Dior, and Ghostface in custom fur robes and his signature jewel-encrusted boxing championship belts. Roger’s creative vision was realized and his talent was featured in television and film, advertising print campaigns, music videos and commercials. He became the style star behind print ads for Nike, Phat Farm, Phat Farm Kids, Sean John, XV and Argyle Culture by Russell Simmons, Footlocker Stores and FUBU. Roger dressed the likes of P. Diddy and Dave Matthews for their concert tours, and styled commercials for Computer Associates, Noxzema, Sears, Adidas and Reebok. His obvious talent, fun-loving personality and off-the-hook style earned him a position among the industry’s styling elite.
