Lapeer, MI Early Tuesday morning in Lapeer, Michigan, DNA found on a pair of pink low rise thongs proved to belong to the suspect in question.
The 35 year old male suspect in question, left a personalized gift behind, his DNA. He is likely to be someone the victim knows very well. There was no shortage of evidence.
His very unique, personalized t-shirt was found at the scene. Along with a matching personalized watch and dog tag necklace. All of these items were custom made with the victim's photo.
Matching DNA was also found all over the victims home. The evidence was first found outside the home on a lighter and whiskey flask. When the parked vehicle was checked, the victims purse, and wallet were untouched. The victims key chain still found in the door also proved positive.
The DNA profile is specific enough to justify a warrant. The DNA profiles are entered into the national Combined DNA Index System (CODIS), which is used by federal, state and local crime labs to compare and share forensic evidence.
The victim, an employee of ArtWearables.com, is a 33 year old female born and raised in Detroit, is doing just fine today. She has released all photos of the evidence for public viewing via the internet at http://www.artwearables.com/
