Jan. 29, 2010 - PRLog -- Stepping Over Myself is the life story of Ayis A. Caperonis. In 1988 at the age of 13 and a half his childhood dreams of being an athlete were cut short.  Ayis was diagnosed at the last moment and almost died in St Tropez ,a town in the south of France. Although the tumor was benign, the surgical methods 21 years ago were not what they are today and he had a 30% chance of coming out alive as the tumor was crushing his cerebellum. The surgery would be performed by some of the best surgeons in Europe. Ayis was to be the "guinea pig" to a brand new method of operating on brain tumors. When he came out he was a different person...the tumor was in the IV ventricle of the brain and all his motor skills were affected.  After being on life support, he would spend one month in the hospital before going home to his family.  Ayis A. Caperonis recounts in the book how he managed to overlook the negative aspects of his life and resume living.  Hard work in reeducation, love and God would help him go beyond what doctors ever thought would be possible....
