Lee Mead, best known as the winner of the BBC reality talent show “Any Dream Will Do”, can currently be seen as the central character in Oscar Wilde’s “Lord Saville’s Crime” up to 24 April 2010.
Being aware of how to carry an audience, Mead scintillated in the star role in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at the Adelphi Theatre, which made him to the winner of the 2007 Variety Club Award for ‘Outstanding New Talent’.
Lee Mead commented to his new project : "I'm really excited to be returning to the West End in this incredible musical.”
Michael McCabe ,the WICKED Executive Producer is absolutely convinced that Mead will succeed in the untold story of the witches of Oz. According to him, his previous works “proved that he was an outstandingly talented leading man”.
Moreover other famous actors as for instance Julie Legrand (Madame Morrible) or Clive Carter (The Wizard) will join the cast as well.
Named as “Best Musical of the Decade” by The New York Times the “one of the west end’s longest running hits” (Daily Mail,2009) has already been seen by over 2.5 million people at the Apollo Victoria Theatre in London and has so far earned over £90 million.
The deeply touching musical can be seen in six countries all over the world.
