Jonathan Bennett in the Composite Resources Racing DP02 quickly established himself as a championship contender over the three days of official testing for the upcoming Cooper Tires Prototype Lites championship series sanctioned by the International Motor Sports Association (IMSA).
Although the first test session was shortened by rain, Jonathan was one of the five fastest drivers in each of the remaining practice sessions.
“The Cooper tires were a pleasant surprise”, said Jonathan. “We were quicker than last year right out of the box”. “I know that the competition is going to be tough when we get to the season opener in March because everyone will have the new Cooper Tires.” “But this test has proven that we can run consistent lap times at the front of the pack.”
Inspire Motorsports prepares and maintains the Composite Resources DP02 and also provides driver coaching with review of data captured while on track. “We’re methodical about improvements that allow us to go faster.” “I think the championship will be exciting this year and all the teams are going to go faster on the new Cooper Tires,” said Bennett.
